Great Mall of America

We went to the Great Mall today.   Wow, talk about sensory overload.  As expected, it was huge.   Not very crowded for a Thursday in May.   Walked around the amusement park, Nickelodeon.   Was really missing the grandkids today.   They would have LOVED IT.  There were only 3-4 people on most rides.   We saw the PEEP shop, and had to stop in because they were giving away FREE samples of their new chocolate bites with marshmallow filling.   Yum.   Then, somewhere on the 4th level, there was a salsa store.   After a few more free tastings, we bought some very hot and a very garlicky salsa for when we get the motor home and will be making 3 meals a day.

Weather was overcast and cool today.   They said they are running about 22 degrees BELOW normal.    And California is about 22 degrees above normal.   Keeping our purchases down to a minimum because of luggage constraints.   Good thing, because where was lots to buy at the Mall.  Some stuff we just don't get at home.

The pools  here are all indoors because of the cold weather so I think I will head downstairs for a short dip then settle in for the night to watch Greys Anatomy.  Oh, forgot to mention my 2 hour nap this afternoon.   Say what?    I don't nap, but until I adjust to this time change, 4:00 (6:00) is still to early for me.  Mr. Burkett has assured me the alarm has been reset for 7:30.   Slowly we will adjust.  No one is up around here that early.

We can see the airplanes taking off and landing from the hotel room, so at least the flights are moving again after all of yesterday's flight cancellations because of bad weather back east.  Well, I mean more east than Minnesota.   You hear about all that bad weather in the east, and now we are much more closer to it.

Ta Ta for now
