Day Two in Bloomington, Minnesota

Tom's phone was set to wake us up at 6:30.   why?    So we got up early and packed our stuff.   Had a nice breakfast by the indoor pool and watched the weather.   Not a bad forecast.

Before we left home, Since we came in a day early, I tried to add the extra night at the Courtyard Marriott, where we are scheduled to stay for the next 3 days, but they only had the King Suite for $280, so I looked at Hotels.com and found a Comfort Inn for $77 and booked it.   On the Shuttle from the airport, we asked the driver how close the Comfort Inn was to the Marriott, and as you can see in the picture, it was literally right next door.  So after breakfast we walked over to ask the desk what our earliest check in could be and he checked his register and said there was ONE room cleaned and available now.  So he checked us in, we walked back over to the Comfort Inn, got our stuff and we are now comfortably situation in our new home for the next 3 days.    What are the chances of booking a hotel that shares the parking lot?????   Coincidence  I think not!

We continue to be blessed on all these little details that are making the trip so relaxing and wonderful so far.   Ok, it has only been less than 24 hours, but they have been a great 14 hours.

We are loving the cool weather, very comfortable for us, but saw on the news that you all have another hot day ahead of you.  Stay cool my friends.  Heading to the Mall at 10, and we will see where our adventure takes us from there.

Did I mention I am still on California time and I got up at 4 a.m.?    What the heck, I am supposed to be on vacation.  Will have to have a conversation with Mr. Burkett about that.

There is a great app called Hotel Tonight. At noon they post hotels that have vacancies at really low rates. You can search by your city. They might not have all the towns you are visiting in but that is also a great online tool to use when searching for a last minute hotel

Great tip Yvonne. We are actually at the Courtyard Marriott until Saturday, and then we will have the motor home, but I will keep that in mind for further adventures.
